As the CEO of Solver, Nils Rasmussen is responsible for the development of both overall company strategy as well as software & services delivery. Nils founded Solver, Inc. in December, 1996. Since then, he has led the Solver team to complete close to 1,000 implementations world-wide. Prior to this he worked in international sales and consulting roles in various countries. He is the author of numerous BI books and a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
Corey Barak
Chief Operating Officer
Along with managing the day-to-day operations of Solver, Corey Barak's main responsibility at the company is to maximize service quality to its customers and partners. Corey began his Solver career in 1999 as a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant. While at Solver, his responsibilities have ranged from Enterprise Project Manager to Consulting Manager before assuming his role as Chief Operating Officer in April 2008. Corey's experiences in successfully implementing Business Intelligence solutions, establishing lasting customer relationships, as well as his many years in operations, have been influential in preparing him for this role.
Mike Applegate
Vice President, Product Development
Mike Applegate is responsible for research and development (R&D) for Solver's products. He assumed his role as VP of Product development in December 2009. Mike joined Solver in 1999 as a Sr. Business Intelligence consultant. In his tenure he has risen through the ranks, filling roles such as Sr. BI Solutions Architect, Enterprise Project Manager and Consulting Manager. Mike's many years of experience designing and implementing Business Intelligence solutions, along with solid financial and application development backgrounds have been instrumental in preparing him for this role.
Claire Y. Chen
Chief BI Architect
As Chief Business Intelligence (BI) architect, Claire Chen leads Solver's BI practice and mentors its consultants with a focus on the Microsoft BI stack. Based on her background as a dedicated Data Warehouse (DW) and BI professional for over a decade, Claire was appointed as Solver's Chief BI Architect in April of 2008. Claire has worked with many of the leading BI tools and platforms across numerous industries. This coupled with a financial background, provides her with a unique understanding of technical- as well as business user requirements. An author of books and articles and a member of many DW/BI associations, Claire is a well established visionary in the Data Warehouse and BI industry.

Johan Magnusson
Chief Executive Officer
As the CEO of Solver EMEA, Johan is responsible for sales, operations and marketing in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Johan started Solver EMEA in 2005 and since then he has been instrumental in driving the high growth for Solver in this market. Johan has fifteen years of management experience in the software industry and he has also worked with venture firms investing in software companies.
Björn Nylander
Chief Operating Officer
Björn Nylander is jointly responsible for sales and marketing at Solver EMEA together with CEO Johan Magnusson. His main responsibility at the company is to develop new business in collaboration with local Microsoft offices and local BI partners. He is also responsible for relationships with existing and new customers. Björn began his Solver career in 2007 and he has worked in the Business Intelligence industry since 1996.
